Our First Trip as Mr. & Mrs. - Hongkong/Macau

This is the detailed itinerary of our recent trip (my husband and I) in Hongkong and Macau.

Few notes and special tips:

7 Days 6 Nights in HK-Macau

Day 1 : Arrive HK @ 8PM
  • Travel to Tsim Sha Tsui (TST) via Airport Express roundtrip ticket.
  • Check in at The Green House in Tsim Sha Tsui Mansion.
    • Self-check-in transient type.
    • Bigger space compared to other accommodation in Chungking and Mirador.
    • Spacious bath room.
    • Hot/Cold shower available.
    • WiFi is reliable too.
    • Located near Tsim Sha Tsui MTR A1 Exit

Day 2 : Macau
  • Depart to Macau at 9AM
  • Ride MTR go to Sheung Wan station to ride ferry to Macau via Cotai Ferry .
  • Ride Free Shuttle to Grand Lisboa Hotel.
  • Visit Senado Square and St. Paul's Ruins.
  • Roam around and avail the free samples of beef jerky and almond cookies :)
  • Walk towards Grand Lisboa Hotel and go to the bus stop in front of the Lisboa Casino, Ride Bus #23 to Macau Tower
  • Lunch buffet at 360 CafĂ©, 60th floor of the Macau Tower.
  • Visit the Macau tower observatory for an overlooking of Macau.
  • From Macau Tower, ride free shuttle to Studio City.
  • Roam around Studio City. (checkout Golden Reel, the world's highest figure-8-ferris wheel and 4D Batman Dark Flight ride.)
  • Then beside Studio City, visit Parisian Macao(Eiffel tower), Venetian (famous Gondola ride and the unique interior designs)
  • Optional: Visit City of Dreams, Galaxy Macau and other hotel and casino.
  • Go back to ferry port thru the free shuttle buses.


Day 3 : Disneyland
  • Download Disneyland App to view all the schedule of shows and parades.
  • Night parade and fireworks is a must see.
  • Buy food voucher from Klook to lessen the expenses.
  • After Disneyland, if you still have energy then opt to go to Temple Street Night Market.



Day 4: Ngong Ping / Peak Tram
  • Ngong Ping is in Tung Chung MTR station. Check the opening hours so that you can plan your day ahead.
  • Buy tickets from Klook to avoid the lines. Believe me, in the morning the line could be sooooo long. Thanks to Klook, instead of 2-3 hours of waiting, we waited for an hour only.
  • Ride Cable Car and roam around Ngong Ping Village.
  • Must see - Big Buddha.
  • Check out to The Green House and transfer to Dadol Hotel.
  • In the afternoon, ride the Peak tram to Victoria peak, for an overlooking of HK.
  • Best time to go is at night, last schedule for Klookers is 5:30PM. Peak days are Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I suggest you stay away from those days.
  • After the Victoria Peak, you can visit Ladies Market , Sneakers Street or Causeway Bay.


Day 5 : Ocean park
  • Spend the whole day in the ocean park, its quite big park, take your time and visit every show and ride every attractions.
  • Visit Avenue of the Stars and Symphony of Lights in TST.



Day 6 : Shopping and Stroll in Tsim Sha Tsui
  • Lung Shing Dispensary in Granville Rd. , perfect for cosmetics.
  • Sasa and Bonjour is a good place for makeups too.

Day 7 : Back to Manila

More Tips:
  • Buy chocolates and other groceries in Best Mart 360 or Prizemart.
  • Haggle in Temple Street and Ladies Market.
  • Visit Peak Tram on weekdays except Fridays. A lot of people visit this attraction and lines are blockbuster.
  • Exchange your money in Chungking Mansion.
  • The two accommodation that we spent the night is decent, clean, livable and inexpensive.
  • Dadol hotel offers wider rooms too, the bathroom is spacious and they have free bottled water daily. Location is perfect. You need to have an incidental deposit of HKD300 for every room, refundable.
  • Water is expensive in HK, actually everything is expensive. But if you are visiting their theme parks, you can bring empty water bottles and fill it in the theme park for free.

Food trips
  • Cheung Hing Kee - try their Signature Pan Fried buns. Super sarap
  • Tai Cheong Baker - must try egg tarts.
  • Koi Kei Bakery in Macau - almond cookies and other pastries
  • Mammy Pancake - street food - egg puffs
  • Flamingo Bloom - Milk and Fruit teas
  • Macau Tower buffet
  • Disneyland Meal Coupon - Try Royal Banquet Hall
  • Cafe De Coral - cheap food, big servings.
