Our First Trip as Mr. & Mrs. - Hongkong/Macau

This is the detailed itinerary of our recent trip (my husband and I) in Hongkong and Macau.

Few notes and special tips:
All of my trips are booked online. I used Shopback to earn cashback in every transaction I made with online websites, specifically Klook and Expedia.
I've also used AirBnb to book our initial accommodation.

Click the links, signup and get free credits from me.

7 Days 6 Nights in HK-Macau

Day 1 : Arrive HK @ 8PM
  • Travel to Tsim Sha Tsui (TST) via Airport Express roundtrip ticket.
  • Check in at The Green House in Tsim Sha Tsui Mansion.
    • Self-check-in transient type.
    • Bigger space compared to other accommodation in Chungking and Mirador.
    • Spacious bath room.
    • Hot/Cold shower available.
    • WiFi is reliable too.
    • Located near Tsim Sha Tsui MTR A1 Exit

Day 2 : Macau
  • Depart to Macau at 9AM
  • Ride MTR go to Sheung Wan station to ride ferry to Macau via Cotai Ferry .
  • Ride Free Shuttle to Grand Lisboa Hotel.
  • Visit Senado Square and St. Paul's Ruins.
  • Roam around and avail the free samples of beef jerky and almond cookies :)

  • Lunch buffet at 360 Café, 60th floor of the Macau Tower.
  • Visit the Macau tower observatory for an overlooking of Macau.
  • From Macau Tower, ride free shuttle to Studio City.
  • Roam around Studio City. (checkout Golden Reel, the world's highest figure-8-ferris wheel and 4D Batman Dark Flight ride.)

  • Buy food voucher from Klook to lessen the expenses.
  • After Disneyland, if you still have energy then opt to go to Temple Street Night Market.

Day 4: Ngong Ping / Peak Tram
  • Ngong Ping is in Tung Chung MTR station. Check the opening hours so that you can plan your day ahead.
  • Buy tickets from Klook to avoid the lines. Believe me, in the morning the line could be sooooo long. Thanks to Klook, instead of 2-3 hours of waiting, we waited for an hour only.
  • Ride Cable Car and roam around Ngong Ping Village.
  • Must see - Big Buddha.
  • Check out to The Green House and transfer to Dadol Hotel.
  • In the afternoon, ride the Peak tram to Victoria peak, for an overlooking of HK.
  • Best time to go is at night, last schedule for Klookers is 5:30PM. Peak days are Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I suggest you stay away from those days.

Day 6 : Shopping and Stroll in Tsim Sha Tsui
  • Lung Shing Dispensary in Granville Rd. , perfect for cosmetics.
  • Sasa and Bonjour is a good place for makeups too.

Day 7 : Back to Manila

More Tips:
  • Buy chocolates and other groceries in Best Mart 360 or Prizemart.
  • Haggle in Temple Street and Ladies Market.
  • Visit Peak Tram on weekdays except Fridays. A lot of people visit this attraction and lines are blockbuster.
  • Exchange your money in Chungking Mansion.
  • The two accommodation that we spent the night is decent, clean, livable and inexpensive.
  • Dadol hotel offers wider rooms too, the bathroom is spacious and they have free bottled water daily. Location is perfect. You need to have an incidental deposit of HKD300 for every room, refundable.
  • Water is expensive in HK, actually everything is expensive. But if you are visiting their theme parks, you can bring empty water bottles and fill it in the theme park for free.

Food trips
  • Cheung Hing Kee - try their Signature Pan Fried buns. Super sarap
  • Tai Cheong Baker - must try egg tarts.

Earn and Shop with Shopback

When I first encountered Shopback last December 2015, I didn't realized that it will be beneficial for me. I was skeptical that I will have cashback with the sites that I normally use to buy stuff.

Hence, I still created an account. And use it with some purchases with Lazada. I was using Lazada thru Shopback and never bothered with the "Earnings" that I was gaining during purchases. Its accumulating and I thought its just a paper money.

Yesterday, June 15,2016, I logged in to my account in Shopback and saw that I have total earnings of almost Php1000. I got curious if I can cash it out, then I clicked "Request Payout". Ohh, it was asking me on how I will be payed-out. So I added the details needed then clicked Redeem.

I will update you once I get my cash back.
Update: June 21,2017: It's real! My cash back has been credited to my bank account! yipee!

Here's some tips you need to cash back using Shopback!

1. Signup with ShopbackPH.
2. Shop with the merchants that advertise within the site.
3. Click on the merchant and wait to be redirected to the merchant's site. You can also install their Shopback buddy extension in your browser.
4. Shop as usual on merchant's site and make a purchase!
5. After checkout you will see a pending cashback in your "Cashback Details" in your Shopback Account.
6. You cashback will turn "Redeemable" once order is validated by the merchant. This will take 30-60 days to ensure that there is no order cancellation/return/exchange.
7. You can request for payout once you've reached "Redeemable Cashback" of Php300.00

Cash out your Cashback to your Paypal or bank account:

Keep Shopping with ShopbackPH and get a percentage of your money!

Forgiveness

Forgiveness is not about forgetting.
It is about letting go of another person's throat.

Forgiveness does not create a relationship
Unless people speak the truth about what they have done and change their mind and behavior, a relationship of trust is not possible.

When you forgive someone, you certainly release them from judgment, but without true change, no real relationship can be established.

Forgiveness in no way requires that you trust the one you forgive.
But should they finally confess and repent, you will discover a miracle in your own heart that allows you to reach out and begin to build between you a bridge of reconciliation.

Forgiveness does not excuse anything.
You may have to declare your forgiveness a hundred times the first day and the second day, but the third day will be less and each day after, until one day you will realize that you have forgiven completely

And then one day you will pray for his wholeness.”

Clinomania

~ a lazy ass person that stays in bed all the time and has an obsession with their bed.

Do you have Clinomania or Are you a Clinomaniac?
I love to sleep. Its practically my favorite thing in the world.
But unfortunately, because of the demands for me from work, business and home,
it seems that my affair with bed was lessen...

I wanted to master the act of sleeping or just hang around with my bed longer...

Coldplay Ghost Stories Album

"If you don't let love really in then you can't really give it back."

Coldplay's Ghost Stories means like, you've got to open yourself up to love and if you really do, of course it will be painful at times, but then it will be great at some point.

"I think in life everyone needs to be broken in some way… I think everyone in their life goes through challenges, whether it's love or money, kids, or illness... You have to really not run away from that stuff. Life throws these colorful challenges at you… what we decided to do on Ghost Stories was to really be honest about it and say, this is what's been happening."
                                                                             - Chris Martin, Coldplay

Recently, I've been listening to their latest album and I can really connect.
The words are simple and at the same time, you can feel the profoundness of each phrase.
Its real and straight to the point. Its magical for me, the meaning of their songs changes every time I listen to it. It attacks a person in a way that it matches with the thinking of that person who listens. (crazy)
I can get high with all of their songs.

My personal favorite are True Love, Magic, Ink and A Sky Full of Stars.

 Coldplay is pure GENIUS.

Have you heard this album yet? What are your thoughts?

True Worth

When you isolate yourself to people who had been part of your life, you will know your true importance to them. You will know if they care or they've just used you.

Today, I challenge you to look away, go to the other direction, cut the communication with them. And then observe. Who will look for you? who will contact you? who will ignore the fact that you're not there? who will feast about it? who will miss you? See how they will handle your absence, see your true worth..

Caution: Prepare yourself with what might happen, be brave.

Spelunking in Garay

TEA Zone Spelunking Family :)

Inside Gray Cave

Posing with my friends!

My lakwatserong friends

Me, crawling in the muddy muddy area of Gray Cave

My soul is seeking for some adventures… And the moment it knocked, I naturally give in!
Last weekend has been one of the most exciting events of my life. My first full-blown Spelunking (Cave exploring). It is true that whenever I travel to places, I look for some additional side trips that can fit in to my schedules, Caving is one of them. But those caving experiences are just minimal activities. I can describe it as just sauntering around. :)
The weekend getaway with some of my colleagues slash friends and with TEA (The Extreme Adventure) Zone (a group who exercises and lives with the utmost activities they can think of) was stupefying! There was really good camaraderie among all who participated.
Spelunking.
We finished two caves. One is called Kidlat Cave, which we completed in two hours. The cave was dark, gloomy, has musty odor and so quiet. The path is narrow and the rocks formations are stiff and huge. It was thrilling to hug rocks in order to pass through. The excitement and fear of falling and unable to grasp the natural cracks of the rock was intense. This cave is one hell of an obstacle course. haha!
Next is called Gray Cave (it was named by Tea Zone mastermind, Marc Gana, it was slang for “Garay” haha). This was the wet and wild place, wet because literally we passed across water pathways (knee-deep to chest-deep) and wild because of the mud mud mud crawling experience! Yes! Part of the cave had muddy surface, it was slippery, we’ve experienced to be one with it and I felt like I’m inside a giant clay molding. It was scary at first but after a while it was fun! (actually I’ve thought about the people who were trapped in a landslide.it was fearsome!) At the end of this cave is a nature pool where you can swim, cleanup and refresh!
At that moment, I know that we are in a very deep place. I am chilling, the place is enticing and I am damn sure its mysterious.
I am proud to say that I have conquered Garay Caves!

How to get there: Breakdown of expenses
Ride Bus from Cubao to Sapang Palay then get off to Road 2. (Php45.00)
Ride tricycle or jeep from Road 2 to Bigti Market (Php10.00 each)
Buy foods for your lunch (Php100.00) :)
Ride tricycle from Bigti Market to Tea Zone’s place (forgot the place and price hahaha, but it was Php15.00 ata each)
From Tea ZOne’s place to the Garay caves, it was just walking distance.
Tea Zone’s fee for this adventure is Php 600.00
Total Spelunking expenses = Php840.00 only!

Interested? Do you envy my escapades?? Check out The Extreme Adventure Zone Facebook Page for upcoming events! :)

Responsible Horniness

What is “wholesome”? According to Merriam-Webster dictionary:

  • promoting health or well-being of mind or spirit
  • promoting health of body
  • sound in body, mind, or morals
  • clean

Pro-RH (Responsible Horniness):

  • Never mess with guys/girls who are not single (unless their partners are willing to share)
  • Always use protection. Great safe sex is the best!
  • For my young followers, stay virgin as long as you can. Nothing wrong with being a “solo” artist. Practice makes perfect.

I don't have issue with performers who are a bit slutty slash comedian slash performer. I love their humors because it was double meaning. Naturally they deliver it normally, its how your mind kick in with those jokes. :)

SIX DEGREES OF SEPARATION

I'm on the same page of my life again. separation.
sad but I know, I will be okay. Be strong wanshishi
This is just another bump :)

-------------------------------------
The Script - Six Degrees of Separation

You've read the books,
You've watched the shows,
What's the best way no one knows, yeah,
Meditate, get hypnotized.
Anything to take from your mind.
But it won't go

You're doing all these things out of desperation,
Ohhh woah,
You're going through six degrees of separation.

You hit the drink, you take a toke.
Watch the past go up in smoke.
Fake a smile, yeah, lie and say that,
I'm better now than ever, and your life's okay
Well it's not. No
You're doing all these things out of desperation,
Ohhh woah,
You're going through six degrees of separation.

First, you think the worst is a broken heart
What's gonna kill you is the second part
And the third, is when your world splits down the middle
And fourth, you're gonna think that you fixed yourself
Fifth, you see them out with someone else
And the sixth, is when you admit that you may have messed up a little.

(No, no, there ain't no help, it's every man for himself)

You tell your friends, yeah, strangers too,
Anyone'll throw an arm around you, yeah
Tarot cards,
Gems and stones,
Believing all that shit is gonna heal your soul.
We'll it's not, no

You're only doing things out of desperation,
Ohhh woah,
You're goin' through six degrees of separation.

First, you think the worst is a broken heart
What's gonna kill you is the second part
And the third, Is when your world splits down the middle
And fourth, you're gonna think that you fixed yourself
Fifth, you see them out with someone else
And the sixth, is when you admit that you may have messed up a little.

No there's no starting over,
Without finding closure,
You'd take them back,
No hesitation,
That's when you know you've reached the sixth degree of separation

No there's no starting over,
Without finding closure,
You'd take them back,
No hesitation,
That's when you know you've reached the sixth Degree of separation

First, you think the worst is a broken heart
What's gonna kill you is the second part
And the third, Is when your world splits down the middle
And fourth, you're gonna think that you fixed yourself
Fifth, you see them out with someone else

How to avoid Overeating?

EASY! Just SAVOR the FLAVOR for better health!

Just Practice mindful eating:

I will eat for at least ______ minutes per meal.

(Based on studies, it takes 20 minutes for your brain to detect that you are eating and already full.)

I will eat at the _________, without any distractions.

(Eating while watching television, surfing the internet, studying and doing paper works will not give you a feeling of fullness and will make you eat more)

I will chew my food at least _______ times before I swallow it.

(At least 7 chews is recommended to really savor the flavor of the food, however, you are not a robot so just opt to put down your eating utensils and swallow first before you put another spoonful of food in your mouth)

I will record my actual food intake every _____.

(Keeping a record of your actual food intake makes you aware of the not so diet-friendly foods you actually consume. Make it a habit to keep a record and convince yourself to be better each day)

Gotta Be Somebody - Nickelback

This song is for me.. hehehe i love this song!!

Gotta Be Somebody
- Nickelback -

This time I wonder what it feels like
To find the one in this life
The one we all dream of
But dreams just aren't enough
So I´ll be waiting for the real thing.
I'll know it by the feeling.
The moment when we´re meeting
Will play out like a scene straight off the silver screen
So I`ll be holdin’ my breath
Right up to the end
Until that moment when
I find the one that I'll spend forever with

`Cause nobody wants to be the last one there.
'Cause everyone wants to feel like someone cares.
Someone to love with my life in their hands.
There`s gotta be somebody for me like that.

`Cause nobody wants to go it on their own
And everyone wants to know they´re not alone.
Somebody else that feels the same somewhere.
There`s gotta be somebody for me out there.

Tonight out on the street out in the moonlight
And damn it this feels too right
It´s just like Déjà Vu
Me standin’ here with you
So I´ll be holdin`my breath
Could this be the end?
Is it that moment when
I find the one that I spend forever with?

‘Cause nobody wants to be the last one there
'Cause everyone wants to feel like someone cares.
Someone to love with my life in their hands.
There´s gotta be somebody for me like that.

`Cause nobody wants to go it on their own
And everyone wants to know they´re not alone.
Somebody else that feels the same somewhere?
There`s gotta be somebody for me out there.

You can´t give up!
When you're Lookin´ for a diamond in the rough
Because you never know when it shows up
Make sure you´re holdin` on
‘Cause it could be the one, the one you´re waiting on

‘Cause nobody wants to be the last one there.
And everyone wants to feel like someone cares.
Someone to love with my life in their hands.
There's gotta be somebody for me
Ohhhhhh.

Nobody wants to go it on their own
And everyone wants to know they´re not alone.
Somebody else that feels the same somewhere?
There `s gotta be somebody for me out there.

Nobody wants to be the last one there
And everyone wants to feel like someone cares.
Somebody else that feels the same somewhere?
There's gotta be somebody for me out there.

4. Smoking.
5. Not exercising.
6. Taking to much sugar.
7. Breath polluted air.
